5 Years in the Making
We were introduced by mutual friends who, for years, had a hunch we’d be good together. Without us really knowing, they set things in motion and planned a weekend for us to meet in San Luis Obispo. Apparently, they were right—it worked out better than any of us could have guessed.

Other Options: The Kirkwood area has a variety of lodges, condos, and Airbnbs for groups.
Onsite Camping: For those who want to stay closer to the action, there’s space for up to 40 guests to camp at The Hideout. Learn more below and request on your RSVP.
Where is camping? In the big meadow just steps from the main lodge.
How many spots are there? Space for up to 40 guests (RVs, vans, and tents).
How do I reserve? First come, first serve—note it in your RSVP.
What amenities are there? Bathrooms and showers, but no RV hookups.
What’s included? Safari tents with queen beds, fresh sheets, and hotel style comfort.
How many are available? At least 10 tents, first come, first serve with RSVP.
What do they cost? Around $150 per night (final cost will be relayed to campers when we know), you pay direct.
Do they have amenities? Yes—electricity, heater, and lighting.
Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO): ~2 hr drive
Sacramento International Airport (SMF): ~2 hr drive
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) or Oakland International Airport: ~3.5 hrs
The private driveway to The Hideout sits just off CA-88 near Kirkwood Ski Resort, CA.
Cell service can be spotty—download maps ahead of time.
Look for signage and a turnout shoulder directly on the highway and follow the 1.5 mile driveway to the property.
Complimentary shuttles will run between Kirkwood Main Lodge (where the hotel block is located) and The Hideout (~20 min ride).
Shuttles will be scheduled around key events on Friday evening and Saturday (see the Schedule page below for times).
Please note in your RSVP if you plan to utilize the shuttles during your visit.

Layers: Days are warm, nights are cold at 7,800 ft.
Shoes: Bring sturdy shoes for dirt paths and grassy areas.
Extras: Bathing suit (40-person hot tub), sunscreen, and anything you’d want for mountain evenings.

Can I Uber/Lyft to The Hideout? Not reliable—please plan to drive or use the shuttles.
Is there cell service? Limited—plan ahead and coordinate rides early, there will be Starlink at the venue.
What if I arrive early on Friday? Grab food/drinks in Kirkwood or explore nearby trails.
